Since 1990, full professor of cognitive semantics, new-media studies and cross-cultural communication at the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO), Paris and head of the R&D lab ESCoM (new Media Lab) of the Foundation “Maison des Sciences de l’Homme” (FMSH), Paris. Author and director of the on line audiovisual archive programme ARA of ESCoM/FMSH.

1987: Thèse d’Etat es Lettres et Sciences Humaines (“Habilitation”) at the Sorbonne (Univ. of Paris III).

1985: Bronze Medal of CNRS, for the research undertaken in the field of discourse and narrative semiotics.
R&D activities:
Since 1991, scientific management of more than 20 national and international R&D projects in cognitive semantics and semiotics, knowledge representation, ICT and (audiovisual) digital libraries
