Editorships

Real-World Applications based on CONVERGENCE and Photographic Book

The PAM (Photo Archive Management) application has been finalized and the interface is available to the general public with access to 2000 annotated images under free license (non-for-profit use). Annotation of the images and usage of the application through Facebook communities involved the Associazione Amici del gioco del Ponte – with more than 5000 users.

The application comprehends real Alinari retail products (books, calendars, prints, collotypes, etc.) and discount offers represented by retail VDIs.

Press communication with local journalists, and creation of a book referencing the CONVERGENCE project and its distribution on-line was carried out by putting together an editorial team, involving also the municipality of Pisa and the town mayor. CONVERGENCE realized a photographic book of 100 pages, published on December 2012 (http://www.blurb.com/b/4054072-il-gioco-del-ponte). The book has been presented to the press at the airport of Pisa with local authorities and the airport managers (21st Dec 2012).

The book is offered under non commercial agreement: the book can be ordered by general public on-line (the users can purchase the book paying only the print and delivery, furthermore Blurb.com offered a 20% discount key to all users).
